I am LeRoy (pronounced not like Leroy Jenkins).

I believe that technology helps people, but people and process make things great. I find interest in connecting business/operational challenges to process improvements that often include technology. My professional experiences within energy, the US Navy, and higher education offer different but valuable contexts to refer to when problem solving.

I enjoy solving problems, utilizing technology tools to help nudge some brightness into life and the world around us. I believe in accessibility, readability, sustainability, and durability in my code.

Code done well can be craft and a means for self-expression. Constraints facilitate creativity. Empathy for the user can be a game changer.

I spend time away from technology helping, mentoring, coaching, and guiding collegiate student athletes as Assistant Director of Athletics, and Head Men's and Women's Wrestling Coach at the University of the Ozarks.
